The number-average relative molecular weight of C5 petroleum resin is 300~3000. The key segment of this type of epoxy resin is aliphatic structure, which has the characteristics of low acid value, good miscibility, moisture resistance, alcohol resistance and chemical resistance. , And has the characteristics of adjusting viscosity and good heat resistance. It is widely used in the fields of vulcanized rubber and tackifier, architectural coatings, transportation paint, printing ink, paper industry and other fields. C5 petroleum resin is prepared to remove cyclopentadiene, carbon six and other asset restructuring components after separation and preliminary treatment, and carbon five with piperylene, isoprene and monoolefins as the main components is the key raw material.

   1 Carbon five petroleum resin generation and processing technology

   The chemical changes of C5 petroleum resin are very complicated, and most of them feel that its polymerization belongs to positive ion polymerization. There are two key processing techniques for preparing C5 petroleum resin in industrial production:

One is a catalytic reaction polymerization process, such as using BF3 or AlCl3 as a metal catalyst; its processing process includes: seasoning, polymerization, neutralized water cleaning, superheated steam to remove organic solvents, pressure relief steam stripping, melting granulation, packaging, etc. . The advantage is that the reaction is sensitive and the reaction is soft; the defect is that it is easy to emulsion when the neutralized water is cleaned, causing alkali residue, and causing a lot of sewage.


  The other is the thermal polymerization process, which does not require a metal catalyst. The advantage is that the process is simple, does not need to be cleaned with neutralized water, is not easy to emulsion, does not cause alkali residue, and a lot of sewage; the defect is that the temperature and working pressure are high, and the product The color is darker and the scope of application is narrow.


  At this stage, most of the production and manufacture of C5 petroleum resin in China use catalytic reaction polymerization processing technology.


  2 Regulations on C5 Petroleum Resin Raw Materials


  2.1 Cracking C5 value-added chemical raw materials


  (1) Butadiene by-product cracking C5 can obtain a variety of high-efficiency chemical raw materials, such as isoprene, cyclopentadiene, piperylene, isoprene, 1-pentene, 2-butyne , 3-hydroxy-1-butene, cyclopentane, cyclopentene, isobutane, n-pentane, etc.; among them, isoprene, cyclopentadiene (dicyclopentadiene) and piperylene The three diolefin components account for about half.


  2.2 Preparation of raw materials


  Cyclopentadiene and C6 and C6+ are harmful residues that generate carbon five petroleum resins. The high composition will make the actual polymerization effect poor. The emulsion is more serious when the polymerization liquid is washed with neutralized water, and it will cause suspected glue and harm the neutralized water. The actual effect of cleaning, thereby jeopardizing the saturation of the product. Therefore, the requirement for cyclopentadiene in C5 petroleum resin raw materials is less than 1%, and C6 and C6+ are less than 5.5%. The raw material of C5 petroleum resin is separated by the equipment to remove light components C3 and C4, and then remove heavy components such as cyclopentadiene, dicyclopentadiene, C6 and C6+ according to the monopolymerization and dimerization.
